Dina was born in Forest Hills Queens and raised there. But, she relocated to Dix Hills Long Island before the end of her junior year. Her two brothers are Gregory, her elder brother, and Evan. Her first experience in the world of entertainment came in the form of modeling at the age of 9 to 16. Ron Stetson taught her the Sanford Meisner acting technique at The Neighborhood Playhouse. Sandra Bullock received similar training, along with Michael Douglas and Jeff Goldblum. Leslie Nielsen, Diane Keaton and Diane Keaton are also among those actors who've received similar training. The first role she acted in was from Beverly Hills 90210. This led to her relocating in Los Angeles. She was cast as the lead lady on Johnny Mnemonic in which she performed almost all her stunts her self, establishing herself as a talented actor. The agency she was represented by was Matt LeBlanc, so through her talent agent, she was able to get a regular part on Friends.
